Game recap, in .gif form

So that was a pretty good game yesterday if you ask me.  Red Sox games, as I mentioned previously, are boring as fuck to watch since they typically take about 11 hours.  They like to encourage their hitters to take a lot of pitches, work the count, etc., which makes pitchers throw more and allows them to burn through an opposing bullpen more effectively.  I don't really have a problem with that as much as I hate the way Boston pitches themselves will just sit there between pitchers any time a runner gets on base.  Jonathan Papelbon, in the 10th inning yesterday, took 24 minutes to throw a 27 pitch inning, in which he allowed 1 hit and 0 runs.  I mean there's obviously some kind of strategic aspect to it, but it's just tough to watch, especially in a 0-0 game that, otherwise, was pretty entertaining.

As such, I've chosen to review yesterday's game entirely via animated gif.  Away we go:

4th inning: Josh Beckett sprains his right ankle, seemingly from just standing there.  My theory is that his ankle gave way underneath all the weight that makes up his fat fucking self.  Reaction:

Henderson Alvarez goes 6 shutout innings against the best team in baseball.  He hasn't allowed a run in his last 2 starts, 15 innings and counting.  He got out of the odd jam in a few spots with 2 guys on, getting Pedroia to ground out and getting Reddick to strike out.  How I feel about that, and his future as our big league pitcher:

The double play to end the 5th inning (Scutaro at 2nd, liner back to Alvarez, he throws to Lawrie who tags Scooter and then gets Ellsbury at 2nd).  The part of the Boston Red Sox will be played by Pau Gasol:

8th inning-- A lady falls on to the field trying (and failing) to catch a foul ball.  My reaction:

"WOOOOOOOP woop woop woop woop woop."

The intentional walk to Ortiz in the 8th inning in a 0-0 game:
