Won't Even Bother

Yeah.  Glad I wasn't around to watch this one, but I'm not even going to bother shitting on Coco or getting sad at defense or whatever else I'd typically do in this scenario.  It's all been done before, and having not watched the game, I'm not really that upset about it.

I hear JPA hit a coupla taters, so he can have a Zaunhead, and we'll just move right along to the next one how 'bout?

We're going to see Jake Peavy and Aaron Laffey tonight.  Laffey, the Jays 9th starter, has been halfway decent since getting tossed in to the role; in 21 innings in the bigs this year, he's got an ERA of 2.14, despite his FIP over 4.  So yeah, fuck you luck.  He's actually got a .164 babip going on here so far.  I'm going to stop looking at his advanced numbers now so I don't begin to cry.

Peavy has been pretty fantastic so far this year, in a little comeback year.  He's had some injury issues over the last few seasons, and has been more or less useless in Chicago during his tenure.  He pitched against the Jays earlier this year, going 6, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs, walking 5 and striking out 4.

Stuff
This is fucking amazing.  Punchouts for all 72 MLB umps, together in one place.

The Jays signed three more draft picks today

The Orioles are looking at Zack Greinke.  I would be shocked if they made a deal, since they refuse to deal Manny Machado or Dylan Bundy, and I just don't see how they can have the prospects to make a deal if those two are both untouchable.

Josh Beckett is getting his shit shoved in, and the Red Sox/Yanks play a doubleheader tomorrow, so they're probably going to leave him in for a while.  Could get nasty.  That game started an hour before the Jays game, and I doubt it will be over before the Jays are finished, so you might be able to check that one out.

The Jays have officially released Jamie Moyer.  Thank fuck.
